Laura Rowland, Architectural Designer
I worked for Laura Rowland immediately following my graduation from UCL. This project was a conversion of listed farm buildings, including a scheduled monument, in Suffolk, to make a family home and exhibition space. The client was very concerned about eco-friendly building methods, materials, and systems, which drove the project. As Laura's sole employee, I played a key role in the works; carrying out research, creating drawing packages, and attending client meetings.
Below are drawings and photographs from the project. The first 2 photographs show the farm buildings before renovation, the rest are of the finished house and gallery space.
