Whilst at the University of Westminster, I co-organised a lecture entitled Is Architectural Practice (Still) Sexist? with fellow student Siobhan Battye. This began as a self-driven project, and eventually became part of the university's Professional Studies series.
Sarah Wigglesworth (Sarah Wigglesworth Architects)
Holly Porter (Surface to Air)
Daisy Froud (Agents of Change)
The speakers discuss their own work, practice and career progressions, looking at issues of gender inequality in the industry: obstacles they have faced which may not have existed for men - and suggest possible action and ways to combat these obstacles. The talks were followed by a panel discussion, with students invited to ask questions.
